The New Jersey Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee has approved Senate Bill 782, with some minor amendments, after hearing testimony from insurers and worker advocates. The bill, which would significantly raise benefits for workers who suffer serious hand and foot injuries, was discussed for almost an hour in the committee hearing on Monday.
