The owner of a Florida construction company was arrested this month after Bureau of Insurance Fraud investigators accused him of ducking $1.81 million in premium payments by misrepresenting the size of his payroll.
Jeovene Felizardo faces charges of workers' compensation fraud and running a scheme to defraud, Florida's Chief Financial Officer's office announced Thursday.
