Crush Injury Leads to OSHA Citations for Two Contractors

Two Florida contractors are facing federal citations and fines after a worker’s foot and ankle were crushed by a section of a crane that was being disassembled. Tom Krips Construction Inc., of Fort Lauderdale, and Etherna Services Inc., of Lake Worth, were cited Oct. 25 by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. They are facing proposed penalties of $29,877 and $5,174, respectively.
