Court Blocks Tort Claim Against General Contractor for Electrocution

The estate of a worker who was killed by electrocution while working for a subcontractor on a road project cannot pursue a tort claim against the general contractor because the man's employer and the contractor were engaged in a common enterprise, the Minnesota Court of Appeals ruled in a split decision.
