A judge on Wednesday sentenced a man to 90 days in jail for cashing his dead father’s workers’ compensation checks and using his electronic welfare benefits card to run up purchases of $1,274 at various stores.
Androscoggin County Court Justice MaryGay Kennedy sentenced Jason Seger, 36, to 18 months in prison before suspending 15 months of that sentence and ordering two years of probation, the Lewiston-Auburn Sun Journal reported.
