Governor Picks Board of Nursing Appointee

Gov. Chet Culver (D) has appointed Juan Garcia of Des Moines to the Iowa Board of Nursing.Garcia is an outreach representative for the Iowa College Access Network.He also is a volunteer firefighter with the Northern Warren Fire Department, and a board member of Hispanic Educational Resources in Des Moines.Garcia received a degree from the University of Lima, Peru, in 1994.Garcia is to serve a term ending April 30, 2011.
