State to Change Rule Reflecting New One-Year Limit on Claim Filing

Ohio’s workers’ compensation agency plans to update a rule to reflect the fact the legislature shortened the statute of limitations for claim filing, from two years to one year. Rule 4123-3-08 was recently sent to the Common Sense Initiative Office, an office created in 2011 that reviews agency rules that impact businesses, said Bureau of Workers’ Compensation assistant general counsel Tom Sico.
