Jerry Brown will have another opportunity to explicitly prohibit doctors from apportioning a part of an injured worker’s permanent disability to a predisposition arising from a protected characteristic such as race or gender. The Senate on Tuesday voted 37-0 to concur in amendments Sen. Richard Pan, D-Sacramento, made to SB 899 while the bill was in the Assembly, and send the bill to the governor.
