Bill Would Increase Prison Guards' Weekly PPD Payments

A bill that would make Maryland's state prison guards eligible for higher weekly payments for certain injuries will have its first reading in the Senate's Finance Committee on Jan. 10.  Most Maryland workers receive one-third of their weekly wage for fewer than 75 weeks when they're getting benefits for an injury classified as a "permanent partial disability."
