Lobell Rosen Appoints Partner, Associate in Workers' Comp Practice

The Lobell Rosen law firm announced Wednesday the appointment of Lorna E. Brown-Burton as partner, and Amber L. Ruocco as an associate, in the workers’ compensation division. Both will be based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The firm said Brown-Burton’s primary area of practice is workers’ compensation defense. She has represented employers and carriers for 30 years, and has experience in the area of labor, employment and Social Security disability.

Brown-Burton is a member of the Florida Bar’s Workers’ Compensation Section and is an adjunct professor at Broward College’s paralegal degree program, the firm said. She earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Florida, and her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1987.

Ruocco received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2016. She is a member of the Broward County Bar Association and its Young Lawyers Division.
