Sixty-six employers in the home health care industry would be reclassified under a proposed filing by the Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau to its basic manual.
The Rating Bureau said it erred in reclassifying the home care providers from Classification 943, home health care nonprofessional staff, to 972, attendant care services.
The reclassification to 972, which contained “vague” language, gave the 66 home health care agencies a competitive advantage over similar agencies classified at Code 943 because 972 carries a lower loss cost, the bureau says.
