N.Y. Sheriff's Deputy Indicted on Work Comp Charge

An Orange County, N.Y., sheriff's deputy has been charged with filing false claims for a work-related injury to collect more than $50,000 in worker's compensation benefits.The Associated Press reported that Deputy Audrey Rodrigues, of Mount Hope, N.Y., was indicted on 12 counts of offering a false instrument for filing and 13 counts of falsifying business records.
