Public Hearing on 9.3% Rate Decrease Set for Thursday

The Florida Channel will livestream Thursday's public hearing on a proposed 9.3% decrease in workers' compensation rates.  The hearing, hosted by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, begins at 1 p.m. Eastern. It will be held in room 412 of the Knott Building, 404 S. Monroe St. in the Florida Capitol Complex, Tallahassee. At the hearing, attendees will discuss the National Council on Compensation Insurance's proposed 9.6% decrease in overall average statewide workers' compensation premiums, and the 9.3% decrease in average rates.
