Mine Deaths and Injuries Fall to All-Time Low

Mining fatalities and injuries declined to an all-time low last year, according to the U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).MSHA released its 2011 statistics on Monday and said the fatality rate for the nation's mining industry was 0.114 per 200,000 hours worked.
