Norwalk Attorney Named WC Commissioner

Norwalk attorney Carrie Colangelo has been named to the state's Workers' Compensation Commission, according to a local news report.

Colangelo has been an assistant attorney for the city of Norwalk. It's undecided which district she will serve in, Commission Chairman Stephen Morelli said in the report.

The governor appoints the commissioners and, at full staff, the commission has 16 members. Colangelo's appointment means two positions are still vacant.

As a commissioner, Colangelo will help facilitate voluntary agreements, adjudicate disputes, make findings and awards, hear and rule on appeals, and close out cases through stipulated settlements.
