The Department of Labor and Industry has raised the maximum compensation payable under the Workers’ Compensation Act by 3%, to $1,025 a week, for 2018.
The 2017 maximum rate was $995.
The new rate is based upon the statewide average weekly wage, as determined by the Department of Labor and Industry for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017.
Under the Workers' Compensation Act, injured workers are entitled to indemnity benefits equal to two-thirds of their weekly wage for a work-related injury.
