The Kentucky House of Representatives on Tuesday gave final approval to comprehensive changes to the state's workers compensation system, a move that supporters said would save businesses millions of dollars per year.
The vote, 54-39 in favor of HB2, was little more than a formality and adopted the relatively minor changes imposed by the Senate last week.
The House vote was almost identical to a February vote on an earlier version of the bill. The final measure now goes to Republican Gov. Matt Bevin, who has said he will likely sign it into law.
