The New Mexico Medical Board had adopted a rule, 16.10.14 of the New Mexico Administrative Code, to require participation in the state’s prescription drug monitoring program.
The Medical Board now requires participation in the PDMP “to assist practitioners in balancing the safe use of controlled substances with the need to impede harmful and illegal activities involving these pharmaceuticals.”
