The Division of Workers' Compensation is holding an exam on April 25 for California physicians who want to serve as qualified medical evaluators.
Doctors seeking certification from the DWC's Medical Unit to evaluate whether an injured worker is entitled to benefits, has a permanent impairment or disability and comment on work functions and the need for additional treatment, must submit a mandatory $125 fee along with an application postmarked no later than March 12.
Those who pass the exam will be required to complete a 12-hour course in disability evaluation prior to being certified...
