Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed into law a bill that allows majority shareholders of corporations and limited liability companies to opt in to workers’ compensation coverage.
The governor on Wednesday signed HB 2047, by Rep. David Livingston, R-Peoria.
The bill allows working members of LLCs and corporations who own at least 50% of the company to chose whether they want to be covered by workers’ compensation. Working members owning less than 50% of a company would be defined as employees who must be covered.
