Residential Care Facility Cited for Failing to Protect Against Workplace Violence

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a residential facility for developmentally challenged individuals in Nebraska for exposing its workers to workplace violence from patients. OSHA inspected Integrated Life Choices Inc. in October 2015 and found that it had recorded 105 incidents of workplace violence between January 2012 and November 2015.  The facility is failing to protect its employees from workplace violence hazards, including punches, kicks, bites and thrown objects, according to OSHA.  It noted that a pregnant employee had been hospitalized afte...
