Washington's Department of Labor and Industries will hold a public hearing on Jan. 24 to consider decreasing the pension discount rate.
The current pension discount rate is 6.3%. L&I has worked with the Workers' Compensation Advisory Committee to develop a plan to reduce that rate annually, through 2022, until it reaches 4.5%, according to a bulletin announcing the proposed rule-making.
The date of intended adoption for the rule would be Feb. 14.
