An Ohio company that recycles wooden pallets faces more than $50,000 in proposed fines after U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigators found its workers exposed to amputation hazards and other safety violations.
Wright Pallet Inc. in Lima received serious 12 citations, four of which were for lockout/tagout violations, for failing to have in a place an energy control program for workers when servicing or repairing equipment and for not reviewing its hazard control procedures on an annual basis.
