State Returns to Affidavits for Exempting Businesses From Comp Coverage

Until four years ago, all that a small business in Oklahoma had to do was file an affidavit to show that it was exempt from having to provide workers' compensation coverage for employees.  The 2013 reform legislation changed that and required some businesses to apply for a certificate of non-coverage, which proved to be a cumbersome process.
