The Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Commission will require that all claims information be submitted via electronic data interchange (EDI) on Jan. 1 — two and a half years after the Legislature mandated its implementation.
Scott Chance, the commission’s communications director, said the modernization project was delayed because the 2013 reform legislation scrapped the old workers’ compensation system and created the Workers’ Compensation Commission from scratch.
