Delaware regulators have proposed new rules that would require doctors to check the state's prescription monitoring program before prescribing opioids or benzodiazepines.
The rules also would require that practitioners, when prescribing medication in doses that exceed 120 morphine milligram equivalency per day, to also write a prescription for naloxone, an opioid antidote, with refills to last for a year, according to a bulletin.
