The California Assembly Insurance Committee will hear testimony on bills that would allow workers’ compensation coverage for firefighters injured in the 2017 Las Vegas shooting, and exempt carriers and their agents from provisions of a new consumer privacy law that takes effect next year.
Committee members will also discuss proposals to increase penalties for unlicensed insurance transactions and repeal the 2020 sunsetting of the requirement for carriers to report community development investments.
