Claim Blows Up Into Defamation Dispute Between WC Law Firms

What started as a workers' compensation claim that allegedly involved fraud by the injured worker and a bad case of Legionnaire's disease has blown up into a dispute between two Philadelphia law firms. Attorney J. Edward McCain III this month filed a defamation suit against Matthew Weisberg, charging that Weisberg's 2017 lawsuit against McCain was filed simply to humiliate and harass him, and harm his reputation.
