DWC Adds Traumatic Brain Injury Meds to Formulary

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation added to the formulary drugs addressed in its Traumatic Brain Injury Guideline. Changes effective Feb. 15 will update the Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule drug list based on the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Practice Guidelines. The changes add drugs to the list, new and revised drug recommendations, and designate additional drugs that quality for a “special fill” when prescribed in accordance with the MTUS recommendations.
