Court Denies Casino Employee's Request for Additional Benefits

A Louisiana appellate court ruled that a casino worker failed to prove her entitlement to additional benefits for injuries from an on-the-job fall. Case: Boyd v. CCMSI, Nos. 2018-CA-0587 and 2018-C-0658, 12/26/2018, published. Facts: Dana Boyd worked for the Jazz Casino Co. as a cook. On Sept. 20, 2016, Boyd fell while climbing a flight of stairs to exit the casino. Boyd landed on her hands and knees. Boyd returned to work and worked a full shift the day after her fall.
