A California appellate court has affirmed the dismissal of a $60 million defamation suit filed by admitted fraudster Michael D. Drobot against three Los Angeles-area law firms.
The 2nd District Court of appeal on late Monday issued an unpublished decision upholding the Los Angeles Superior Court's decision that Drobot's suit was a strategic lawsuit against public participation, or SLAPP. The 2nd DCA also affirmed the award of $65,450 in attorney fees to the defendants.
