The maximum fee for an evaluating physician's report was increased to $600 as of Monday, Chief Judge of Compensation Russell Wojtenko Jr. announced.
The fee increased from $400 immediately after Gov. Chris Christie signed Assembly Bill 4438/Senate Bill 3202 into law. The bill was among a package of approximately 50 measures that Christie signed on Monday.
The maximum fee for an evaluating physician who makes a court appearance to give testimony remains at $400.
The bill passed the state Assembly 59-10 and the Senate 28-8 on Dec. 17.
