Correction Officer Pleads Guilty to Workers' Compensation Fraud

A correctional officer in Sacramento has pleaded guilty to making false statements in order to receive workers’ compensation benefits, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. Todd Phillips, a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation correctional officer, was sentenced in Sacramento County Superior Court to 60 days in county jail, after which he will serve three years probation.
