A New York manufacturer has reached a settlement agreement with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration after the agency found high levels of lead throughout the company's facility.
Acme Parts Inc. of Brooklyn will pay $40,000 under the agreement. In addition, the company has agreed to hire a qualified lead hazards and abatement consultant to evaluate the facility and recommend improved practices.
OSHA cited the company in April 2016 after an inspection. The agency said it found high levels of lead throughout the factory, which presented serious hazards to employees. ...
