Berkshire Hathaway Guard Expands from Comp to BOP and Umbrella Coverage

Berkshire Hathaway Guard, a workers' compensation insurer, has added businessowner's policy and umbrella coverage in Illinois. The company is already established in the state, writing more than $10 million in workers' compensation premium in 2013, but the move marks an expansion outside the company's core focus, according to a press release.
