The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a solar contractor after a worker was electrocuted while installing solar panels on a building in Fort Riley, Kansas.
Power Factor LLC, based in Baltimore, faces $39,836 in proposed penalties. OSHA issued the citations on Jan. 3, alleging four serious safety violations.
According to OSHA, the worker was hoisting a metal rail that came into contact with energized overhead power lines while he worked on a two-story residential building on July 24.
