Advisory Committee Meeting May 11

Idaho’s Advisory Committee on Workers’ Compensation will review reports on health care and electronic claims reporting, as well as an update on 2016 legislative activity at its next meeting May 11 in Boise. Idaho Gov. Butch Otter on March 31 signed House Bill 554 creating a rebuttable presumption that cancer is a compensable disease for firefighters. On the same day, Otter signed House Bill 501 to allow work comp carriers to use bonds issued by the state, counties or municipalities as security deposits.
