Governor Names Two New Judges, Reappoints Eight Others

Gov. Rick Scott late Monday appointed two new judges of compensation claims and reappointed eight others. Robert Alan Arthur, 49, of Brandon, will oversee the Lakeland District. He has served as a state mediator for the Lakeland District since 2012 and as the state mediator for the St. Petersburg District beginning in 2005 after being a private mediator from 2004-05. Arthur earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
