The Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania on Monday ruled that the state's Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund does not have to pick up the tab for a worker's benefits until after he gave notice that his employer didn't have comp insurance, some three months after he was hurt.
Under Pennsylvania law, a worker is required to give the UEGF notice of a claim within 45 days of discovering his employer was uninsured.
