School Contractor Cited for Safety Violations after Fatal Fall

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cited construction contractor MacMillin Co. for scaffolding violations after a worker fell to his death at a New Hampshire school construction site.OSHA said in a press release Monday it has recommended more than $167,500 in fines against the company in connection with the Sept. 16 death of a worker at Keene Middle School in Keene.OSHA said temporary workers were erecting scaffolding when a plank snapped and one of the workers fell 27 feet to a concrete floor below.OSHA said MacMillin had not inspected the scaffolding for detects, h...
