Medical protocols for psychological pain will be introduced in Connecticut from next month, the state's Workers' Compensation Commission announced Friday.
Practitioners, insurers and Connecticut's Medical Advisory Panel were consulted ahead of the introduction of the protocols, the commission said.
"These protocols are not meant to be absolute," the commission said in a statement. "There must be room for medical judgment."
