Oregon’s Workers’ Compensation Board is meeting Aug. 23 to discuss a recommendation to revise rules governing individually identifiable health information that is obtained by subpoena.
Claimants’ attorney Marcia Alve submitted a rule concept proposal suggesting that the board consider language regarding objection to a subpoena for health information.
The recommendation is to include in the notice on subpoenas language stating that if the recipient gets a timely objection from the party whose health information is being requested, the recipient shall comply by mailing the information to the Workers’ Compensation Board.
The WCB will discuss the rule concept during the meeting that starts at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 23 in hearing room A at 2601 25th St. SE, suite 150, in Salem.
A meeting notice is here.
