Insurance Co. ProAssurance Names Edward Rand COO

The Birmingham, Alabama-based insurance company ProAssurance Corp. announced this week that it has promoted Edward Rand to chief operating officer. Rand will be responsible for ProAssurance’s day-to-day operations in the newly created position, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Stan Starnes, the carrier announced. Rand has worked as ProAssurance’s chief financial officer for 13 years.
