OSHA: Manufacturer Exposed Workers to Chemical, Machine Hazards

A federal court order prompted a safety inspection of a sheet metal manufacturing facility in El Dorado Springs, leading to proposed fines of $138,430 for more than a dozen alleged violations. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued citations on Dec. 9 to Hammond Sheet Metal, which operates as Barrington Manufacturing Corp., for 15 serious and one repeat violation.
