The New York Workers' Compensation Board has barred a surgeon from treating injured workers after he was found guilty of neglecting a patient who was in the grip of a flesh-eating disease.
Dr. Rulx Dupiton, a vascular surgeon in Far Rockaway, agreed in July that he could not defend against charges that he failed to provide appropriate medical care to the patient and to keep adequate records, the comp board said in a bulletin.
