Supreme Court Puts PHI Air Ambulance Case on Hold During Bankruptcy

The Texas Supreme Court has placed a hold on a much-anticipated case that could help determine if air ambulance bills can be limited by the state's workers' compensation reimbursement rules. In Texas Mutual Insurance Co., et al. v. PHI Air Medical, the court on Friday agreed with a petition filed by PHI, asking the court to abate the case while the company's bankruptcy proceeding continues.
