Bills to clarify maximum fees for out-of-state medical providers, allow the Workers’ Compensation Commission to aggregate proof-of-coverage information and allow temporary appointees to fill in when the commission has a vacancy were approved by the Virginia state Senate last week. The Senate on Thursday voted 40-0 to pass House Bill 117, by Delegate Terry G. Gilgore, R-Gate City, and HB 558, by Delegate Gregory D. Habeeb, R-Salem, and voted 38–2 to pass HB 531 by Habeeb.
