Former Cable TV Executive Named to Workers' Compensation Board

The state Senate on Wednesday confirmed Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s appointment of a former cable television executive to the state Workers’ Compensation Board. Rory Whelan was regional vice president of government relations for Time Warner Cable from 2008-16 and was principal owner of Whelan Media Strategies for 15 years prior to his stint at the cable company.
