Pharmacists Headed to Prison After Adulterated Drugs Cause Patient Infections

Two Alabama pharmacists have been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to dispensing tainted drugs that caused severe infections in several patients, and possibly deaths, the U.S. Department of Justice said. David Allen, 60, of McCalla, and William Timothy Rogers, 48, of Hoover, will be imprisoned for 12 and 10 months, respectively, and were ordered to pay $5,000 fines.
