The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry is urging all employers to examine their safety programs, after a spike in reported amputations this year.
The department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration, known as MNOSHA, “urges employers to take immediate steps to assess and reassess amputation hazards and risks in their workplaces, and take needed corrective action to eliminate them,” the agency said in a bulletin.
